Mustangs Name New Host Family Coordinator
ST. JOSEPH, MO. -- The St. Joseph Mustangs have named Jennifer Koch as the new Host Family Coordinator for the organization.
Koch will take the place of Denise Cotter, the long time Host Family Coordinator for the Mustangs and the St. Joseph Saints, following her stepping down at the conclusion of the 2018 season.
Cotter spent over 15 years placing players with Host Families during her time with the Saints and the Mustangs.
“The thing I just loved about it was seeing people be so happy,” Cotter said. “That was the most rewarding part of it. “
Koch has been a Host Family for the Mustangs organization since 2012 after being encouraged to open her home to players by friends who were also a host family for the team.
“I just love St. Joe,” Koch said. “I think that this organization has been amazing for St. Joe and I want to keep supporting it and growing it. I want people to know what a great stadium this is and what a great city this is. I’ve enjoyed doing it [being a host family]. For my kids and my husband and myself, we have made some great relationships.”
Koch’s preparation for the 2019 season is already underway.
“I have great faith in Jennifer,” Cotter said. She is unbelievably organized. I know she will do great.”
