St. Joseph Mustangs Add an Additional Home Game to 2021 Schedule
St. Joseph, Mo. (April 4, 2021) - The St. Joseph Mustangs’ have added an additional home game to their summer 2021 season. The reigning 2019 MINK League Champions will host the Omaha Strike Zone on Wednesday June 23, 2021 for a 7 p.m. start at Phil Welch Stadium.
All 2021 St. Joseph Mustangs’ season ticket holders will have the Wednesday night game added to their ticket packages. The additional game will open a five-game weekend homestand for the Mustangs.
“We always enjoy hosting our friends from Omaha. It's a great organization, and always a competitive game,” said Mustangs General Manager and MINK League President Ky Turner. “We're also really excited to add an additional opportunity for baseball at Phil Welch to our schedule, especially after not having games last season.”
The Mustangs are set to welcome fans to 26 home games at Phil Welch this season. In 2019, the Mustangs averaged 2,469 fans per game, ranking ninth nationally.
St. Joseph released its 2021 schedule in March, as well as a full promotional calendar. The Mustangs open their season on June 2, 2021 against the Des Moines Peak Prospects at home, including a firework display following the game.
