The Mustangs 2024 roster is set. A mix of new faces combined with returning players, many who have won a MINK League Championship. The team’s first set of brothers on the same roster in almost a decade. A record number of 14 local players. The Mustangs return in 2024 for their 15th season at Phil Welch Stadium.
Noah and Truman Bodenhausen will be the first brothers to be on the Mustangs roster since the Koerper brothers, Kris and Joe. Both Bodenhausens are graduates of Savannah High School. Noah will be entering his final season with the Mustangs, while this will be Truman’s first.
Also returning in 2024 is Mason Holton. Mason was named the Mustangs Pitcher of the Year for the 2023 season. Also returning is Jayden Little, a graduate of Lafayette High School, who was named the Dan De Kraai Community Service winner in 2023.
The roster is recruited and set by Mustangs Manager Johnny Coy. Coy, a former Mustangs player (and still holds the single season home run record with 13), has been at the helm since 2018, when he took over for Matt Johnson. Also returning to the team this year is Johnson’s son Jase, a pitcher. Jase joined the Mustangs in 2023 in early July, but will have a full season under his belt this season.
Coy noted, “I am very excited to announce the Mustangs 2024 roster. This summer's team has a lot of familiar faces and some fan favorites with an addition of some extremely talented new guys that all of the fans will love watching.” Coy continued, “ I have no doubt everybody will enjoy watching this team as they compete for St. Joseph’s 9th MINK League Championship. The coaches and players are excited to perform in front of the greatest fans in all of baseball.”
