The St. Joseph Mustangs, a collegiate baseball team in St. Joseph, Missouri, have called Phil Welch Stadium home since 2009. Each summer, you can find the baseball stadium filled with fans, as the Mustangs annually place in top ten attendance nationally for summer collegiate baseball.
The St. Joseph Mustangs kick off the 2025 summer collegiate season against a new visitor to Phil Welch Stadium, the NEMO (Northeast MO) Craze. Mustangs 2025 Opening Day is Wednesday, May 28th.
The Mustangs will begin the MINK League Title defense on Saturday, May 31 against the Nevada Griffons. The Mustangs face the St. Joe City All-Stars on Wednesday, June 25th. The 9x Champion Mustangs will host the first rematch of the 2024 MINK League Championship at Phil Welch Stadium on the following day, Thursday June 26, versus the Clarinda A's.
For those filling out their Independence Day plans for 2025, the Mustangs are in action at Phil Welch Stadium on July 3, July 4, and July 5th; each game will feature a postgame Mosaic Life Care Fireworks Spectacular.
The St. Joseph Mustangs collegiate summer baseball regular season home slate will wrap up on Saturday, July 19th. The MINK League Playoffs will open on Monday, July 21st, with a full week of playoff baseball across the league. The MINK League Championship is scheduled for July 24-26. The Mustangs have been a staple in the championship series for nearly the past decade. The Mustangs have a total of 26 home games scheduled for 2025.
"The goal every summer is to leave Phil Welch with confetti and a championship, but also for our players and Mustangs Nation, our great fan base, wanting more," said Mustangs team owner Ky Turner. "It's exciting to know that people in St. Joseph are counting down the days to Mustangs Opening Day, but we have fielded questions about our schedule for people all over the country. Some are planning their vacations around Mustangs baseball. Others visit ballparks across the country and have heard about the experience at Phil Welch Stadium. It's a joy every summer, and this is step one of the Mustangs return in 2025."
