Mustangs Mercy Crop Dusters!

SAINT JOSEPH, Mo. -- The St Joe Mustangs comeback in the sixth and seventh innings to enforce the 10-run rule on the Warren County Crop Dusters to win 19-9.

The Mustang's record improves to 32-6 in overall play and 28-6 in conference.

The Mustangs put themselves in a seven-run deficit early in the game after Landon Reith gave up walks, singles, and doubles. Andrew Clark came into the second and cleaned up the inning.

Trevor McCollum and Carson Schrack recovered runs in the second and third, scoring on errors and sacrifice groundouts, which the Crop Dusters got back in the third and fourth innings.

After Darius Freeman and Easton Bruce scored two runs (5-9), the Mustangs had the best sixth and seventh innings Phil Welch has ever seen.

The Mustangs scored seven runs in the sixth inning to remedy the tragic second inning. This was thanks to Freeman, Schrack, Holton, Bruce, Jackon Glueck, Noah, and Truman Bodenhausen. These seven men compiled seven runs to have the Mustangs lead in the sixth 12-9!

The Mustangs were not done after back-to-back triples by Glueck and N. Bodenhausen put the Crop Dusters in mercy range with a 17-9 lead.

After Dom Felix walked in the 18th run, a pitch hit Holton, and Freeman walked in after a balk to mercy the Crop Dusters 19-9.

Six pitches hit the Mustangs in tonight's game. I hope bad blood isn't brewing late in the season.

Your Mustangs player of the game is Truman Bodenhausen, who went 2-3 at the plate and scored two runs.

Shoutout to Andrew Clark, Tanner Schmidt, and Bronco Witt for keeping the Crop Dusters held to nine runs to solidify the Mustangs win!

Tomorrow is Taylor Swift Night, where you can win Eras Tour tickets to her show in New Orleans while the Mustangs have a rematch with the Crop Dusters.
