The St Joe Mustangs have played back-to-back games with the Clarinda A's, one home and one away. The Mustangs performed dominant in both games, rallying innings and using great pitching.
The Mustangs kept the trend of scoring early alive as Logan Miller reached on an error, advanced to second, stole third, and then scored on a wild pitch.
The A's wouldn't take this kindly as they took advantage of Mustang's errors and scored, tying the game 1-1.
The Mustangs' offense continued to work as Jorden Black doubled, Trevor McCollum walked, and Dom Felix single-loaded the bases.
After Black was called out at home, McCollum advanced to third and scored, putting the Mustangs in the lead 2-1 in the second.
The third inning was quiet, but the fifth got louder as the Mustangs' offense shone. Felix walked, Frank Gall reached on an error, and Miller single-loaded the bases for Carson Schrack. Schrack driving Gall and Felix in earned him two RBIs, and Jeter Mauzey got an RBI as well, hitting a sacrifice fly that scored Miller.
The sixth inning got even better, as the Mustangs scored five runs on a two-RBI single by Gall, a wild pitch that scored Felix, and a sacrifice fly by Mason Holton. Jayden Little would walk, giving him an RBI, and Miller would score for the third time, giving the Mustangs a 10-1 lead.
The most electrifying moment in M.I.N.K Leauge baseball came at the top of the eighth.
Little flew out to score Holton, starting the two-out rally in Clarinda. McCollum was hit by a pitch, putting him on first and advancing Mauzey to second. The bases were loaded after Felix singled, bringing up Gall.
Gall was hit by a pitch, scoring Mauzey. Miller's single scored McCollum. Schrack's single scored Felix. Holton reached on an error that scored Gall. Miller and Schrack scored unearned runs, ending this seven-run rally.
The Mustangs would obliterate the A's in a sixteen-run difference that will be discussed for a long time. Your next Mustangs matchup will be a Sunday rematch against the Carroll Merchants at Phil Welsh Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
