St. Joseph, MO – September 9, 2024– The St. Joseph Mustangs added their 9th MINK League Championship in 2024, but there is one more achievement for the organization. During the 2024 season, the Mustangs set a new attendance record at Phil Welch Stadium, welcoming an average of 2,854 guests per game; solidifying St. Joseph, Missouri as a top destination for players and fans alike in collegiate summer baseball across the country.
This record-breaking season underscores the growing popularity and community support for the St. Joseph Mustangs. The previous attendance record, set in 2023 with an average of 2,707, was surpassed by a significant margin, reflecting the team's expanding fan base and community support.

The record-setting year featured 9 games with over 3,000 guests in attendance, highlighted by 4,021 on Mustangs Opening Day and 5,829 guests on July 13th. The 2024 season saw a total of 77,046 guests over the course of 27 home dates.
The Mustangs will return to Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joseph MO in the spring of 2025. The team finished 2024 with a record of 40-9, defeating the Clarinda A’s in the MINK League Championship Series to win the team’s 9th MINK League Title since the team began play in 2009.
